She's Stacked

Although I hate the expressions "arm party" and "arm candy," I love the look of a heavily decorated wrist.  But as I lamented before, cute bracelets can be pretty pricey.  That's why I am currently obsessed with making my own bracelets a la Honestly, WTF.  Love this blog.  And love these bracelets.  Above you'll see a DIY braided hex nut bracelet, braided bead bracelet, and my favorite, two double wrapped bracelets.  Each took less than 10 minutes to make.  I followed all directions, but used embroidery thread for the wrapped bracelets because that's what I had on hand.  I'm working on a bunch of more colorful ones.  I'm telling you...obsessed.

Tie One On

I've never liked blouses with big ties at the neck.  They seem too prim or something, plus they tend not to be flattering if you have anything bigger than an A cup.  On the other hand, I love the tie front blouses that are on trend right now, with the knot on the bottom.  I don't know how, but with the right print and length, this style transcends 80's cheese.  I got one while in Myrtle Beach last week.  It'll look great with leggings or the right cutoffs.  Look - all the cool kids are doing it --

The best part about this trend is that you can do this to any old button up shirt or blouse.  You don't have run out and buy anything special (though the longer ties do help).  Cute, huh.

And kudos to anyone who got the Bouncing Souls reference.

Heavy Metal

I love metal hardware on bags, so of course I'm super thrilled that lots of shoes are cropping up with metal details.  I got these last month.  These are by dv by Dolce Vita ("Archer").
I also love these ("Bagley" from big sis fancy brand Dolce Vita)

And these, from Nine West ("Wewantit") -

Ugh, I love shoes.  I need more money.

Minty Fresh

Mint, seafoam, jade, whatever you want to call it, is very of-the-moment.  I've been seeing it everywhere.  And why not - it's such a cute color and compliments every skin tone.  I don't have many mint-toned pieces, and I won't, due to the Sims housing crisis of 2012.  Luckily, lots of inexpensive brands have caught on to the craze and mint can be bought on the cheap.

Love these shorts I saw in Lucky.  They're LC by Lauren Conrad at Kohl's for only $44 ($33 on sale!).
Also love this top ($58) from Fossil:

I'm crazy about this ring from Cyclical Industry on etsy, but I'm not going to buy it.  The design has, however, given me an idea for a ring I own.
